  • "After an absolute horror story involving western medicine, I truly lost myself and was thrown into a world of pain. I felt like a new person after the first appointment. Dr Ryan Bemis has been a huge factor on helping me get my life back."

  • "Dr. Bemis has brought peacefulness into my iner being that I would not have otherwise."

    —Dana

  • “I recently participated in a trauma-focused breathwork and acupuncture session with Ryan Bemis, and it was a powerful and meaningful experience. As a psychologist who works with trauma survivors, mindfulness, meditation, and breathing practices, I was surprised by how different Ryan’s approach felt from what I have practiced or taught. His guidance helped me move beyond my usual cognitive analysis and connect more directly with emotions and memories from different periods of my life. I was genuinely surprised by what emerged, and even more surprised by the sense that I was able to set down things I had been carrying for many years. I now relate to those past experiences with more acceptance and less anxiety, panic, anger, and avoidance.”

  • "The best decision I made at the beginning of 2025 was to begin working with Ryan Bemis At Crossroads Acupuncture. I originally sought his services for acupuncture, but soon found I’ve also benefited from his depth of knowledge in other modalities that open doors to releasing stress and feeling peace in these uncertain times.”

  • "I took the trauma- informed breath work + acupuncture treatment session with Ryan at Crossroads Acupuncture. I was surprised at how deep I went using only the breath! It kind of blew my mind how good it was. Then the acupuncture follow up allowed for deep reflection and emotional excavation. Just Wow! I highly recommend this treatment."

  • "Ryan brings me into each session at a comfortable pace while (sometimes literally) pinpointing the areas where my mental and physical health can improve, opening a pathway of healing for the body to follow. He makes space for your existing experience with the practice and helps you expand into new ways of thinking, moving and meditating.”

    —Tamir

  • "Absolutely amazing! Always leave feeling relaxed!"

  • "“From my first visit until now, this has been one of the best medical. The experiences that I was ever had. I am terrified of needles, but my first treatment proved to be a different experience. I went in with pain in most of my body, bearly able to climb stairs. I left feeling energized and free from pain. Ryan's calm demeanor and attention to my specific needs has kept me from needing any medication to control my previously chronic pain."

  • "I am a Vietnam-era veteran who has struggled with anxiety issues, including symptoms of PTSD. I had reached my wits’ end after taking prescription medications, on and off, for nearly 19 years through the VA and my family doctor. The side effects had become difficult for me, and I felt like my choices were becoming very limited. During one particularly difficult period, I was unable to speak with my VA doctor, but the nurse I spoke with was sympathetic to what I was going through. She mentioned that she had heard of some veterans getting relief with acupuncture. Suddenly, another possible choice presented itself. I found Dr. Ryan Bemis in Las Cruces, about 65 miles from where I live. I called hoping to get in as soon as possible, but he was booked out for at least a month and a half. He did, however, have a community clinic open to the public that very weekend and invited me to attend. I signed up right then and there. Since that first meeting, I have continued seeing Dr. Bemis, now going on close to two years of monthly visits. I hope to continue for as long as I am able. What I have gained through this work is a clearer and more conscious approach to dealing with my day-to-day anxiety, stress, and the problems life brings. I am not out of the woods yet and may never be completely, but there is hope. The thoughts I once had about leaving this life prematurely are now on the back burner, and I have a greater ability to work with what I am experiencing instead of feeling completely overwhelmed by it. Dr. Bemis’ passion for his work is evident in his professional conduct and in the care he provides. My sessions have included acupuncture, guided meditation, TRE (Tension & Trauma Release Exercises), and many open and honest conversations. When I arrive for my monthly appointments, we talk about how I have been since the last session, how I am doing now, what has changed, and what may help me continue the progress I have made. For me, this has become much more than simply showing up for an acupuncture treatment. It has been an ongoing process of learning how to better understand myself, manage my anxiety, and move through difficult moments with greater awareness. I could never ask for anything more. Thank you, Dr. Ryan.

  • "My spouse and I have been coming to Crossroads acupuncture for about a year. We came to see Ryan with a bit of skepticism the first time. I am here to tell you after the first visit I felt great. Ryan is very knowledgeable in exactly where to place the pins to give you the utmost comfort when you leave the office. My spouse was so Impressed by how great I. felt the first visit on our second visit he decided to let Ryan work on him. Ryan did a great job on my spouse as well. We are so impressed by Rayn's work we are still coming to see him. He does such a great job on us that we drive 400 miles round trip to see him.

Trigger Point Acupuncture: A Patient's Story

Trust me: if you’re going to do dry needling/Trigger Point Therapy, you’re MUCH better off with an experienced practitioner with a strong grounding in traditional Chinese acupuncture and a good needling technique, like Ryan at Crossroads.

Resilience Begins With Connection

“Yoga, meditation, and acupuncture have been some of the most powerful tools in my own healing—and in supporting others in our community. In a world of trauma, injustice, and disconnection, we’re all searching for freedom. We don’t have to do it alone. These tools help us build resilience—especially in these dark times and out of greatest struggles.”
