WE MAKE ACUPUNCTURE SIMPLE, GENTLE, AND AFFORDABLE FOR YOU

Acupuncture & Mindfulness for Nervous System Support

Each session with Dr. Bemis includes a full acupuncture treatment tailored to your physical and emotional needs. You'll also learn simple, trauma-informed tools—like optimizing your breathing, movement, and mindfulness—that you can integrate into your daily life to calm the nervous system and build resilience.

Resilience Coaching to Rebuild Inner Strength

Dr. Bemis blends trauma-informed conversation with grounding practices like acupuncture, meditation, and breathwork. Together, you’ll uncover the patterns that hold you back and build a toolkit of strategies to help you navigate life’s challenges with more clarity, calm, and confidence.

Somatic Therapy & TRE for Trauma Release

Dr. Bemis gently sreconnect you with your body’s natural ability to release stress, tension, and trauma. Using Trauma & Tension Release Exercises (TRE), Dr. Bemis guides you through simple, accessible movements that help unwind deep nervous system patterns—supporting groundedness, calm, and emotional clarity.

Affordable group classes:

  • Tension and trauma can lurk deep within our muscles and nervous system muscles, and affect every aspect of our lives. How can we release it? How can we deal with this on our own, on a regular basis, so we can be our most resilient self? In this workshop, you will learn to use your own capacity to co-regulate through movement, breathing, and stillness. We’ll start with a guided meditation.  Then we will flow into an experience of Trauma and Tension Release Exercise (TRE), which will teach you how to literally “shake off” unneeded stress and old story that no longer serves you. Finally, Ryan Bemis, Doctor of Oriental Medicine will offer an acupuncture session to support your integration and shavasana experience. All levels of experience in yoga and physical ability are welcome. Dr. Bemis will be available to offer you a free consult, as well, if you are interested in learning more about getting acupuncture.

  • The sessions last 30-45 minutes and are very relaxing while at the same time provide a quick and easy treatment to slide into a hectic schedule.

Treatments will be offered by Dr. Ryan Bemis alongside local acudetox community workers. We will offer a gentle placement of tiny needles around points on the body to help you find your inner calm and your grounded self, so you can leave more present during these chaotic times.

(NOTES: If you don’t want the acupuncture, you can still come and join us for the meditation.)

Cyrus, Crossroads Patient

After an absolute horror story involving western medicine, I truly lost myself and was thrown into a world of pain. I felt like a new person after the first appointment. Dr Ryan Bemis has been a huge factor on helping me get my life back.

the acu nap experience

Most common side effect: feeling of deep calm

  • Our sessions at our Las Cruces clinic include what we lovingly call an “Acu-Nap”—a deep rest that happens during acupuncture.

  • You’ll relax in a safe, quiet space with gentle needle placement that helps down-regulate your nervous system.

  • People often describe it as peaceful, grounding, and surprisingly rejuvenating.

  • Whether you’re dealing with pain, anxiety, or emotional overwhelm, this is a moment to just be—and let your body do what it knows how to do: heal.

Because Everyone Deserves Access to Healing

We offer bilingual, trauma-informed services in an affordable way. Insurance covers most of our care, and clients pay an average of $45 per session. We put healing within reach for everyday people across Las Cruces and the Borderlands.

Trigger Point Acupuncture: A Patient's Story

Trust me: if you’re going to do dry needling/Trigger Point Therapy, you’re MUCH better off with an experienced practitioner with a strong grounding in traditional Chinese acupuncture and a good needling technique, like Ryan at Crossroads.

Resilience Begins With Connection

“Yoga, meditation, and acupuncture have been some of the most powerful tools in my own healing—and in supporting others in our community. In a world of trauma, injustice, and disconnection, we’re all searching for freedom. We don’t have to do it alone. These tools help us build resilience—especially in these dark times and out of greatest struggles.”

"When you come in for acupuncture here at our clinic, you’re getting help for yourself, and you’re helping us help other community health workers who are on the front lines in their own underserved communities.”
